Pre-Trial Consultation

inFocus understands that visual graphics should not be limited only to trial use but for mediation and settlement conferences as well.

Effective demonstratives have proven key in keeping the jury, judge and mediator engaged (and helping them to understand, follow and digest complex evidence).

Our experienced graphic consultants will work with your trial team and expert witnesses to develop a visual presentation and tell the story of your case in a precise and compelling manner.

Using the latest software, inFocus will consult with you and your team to piece together your case graphically. Our consultants are experienced in all facets of litigation and, having been on both sides of a case, are familiar with what your adversary is doing to enhance their presentation.

Focus Groups

inFocus works with your trial team to strategize your case and test out its strengths and weaknesses. Working with pre-trial focus groups affords you the opportunity to learn about the case and view any possible deficiencies. It provides you with the insight to develop and reorganize your case, if needed, and provides you with information on how the case will play out and how the jury will react to
what you are presenting.

Adding a focus group to your pre-trial work will help you to understand your audience: what it is they are hearing and conceptually grasping from your presentation and how effective it really is. Utilizing the expertise of inFocus will help you improve your case and ultimately help you reach a winning verdict.

Online Jury Selection

As of January 2011, there were more than 2 billion people online. That means over 70% of Americans have online access to social media which also means that many potential jurors are internet and social media users.

So how does this affect your jury selection?

Working with inFocus provides you with the resources needed to uncover not only the biases of the jury pool through questionnaires and voir dire but also give you a social media analysis of the jury to determine what their online influences may be and how it could affect your selection.

Preparation of Trial Witnesses

inFocus will help prepare your witnesses for trial. Using various methodologies, our consultant will expose the witness to a variety of courtroom scenarios so that he or she is comfortable testifying.

During preparation, each witness will be videotaped to evaluate eye contact, body language and their ability to answer the questions. In addition, witnesses will be trained on how to enforce specific points of a demonstrative to ensure that the jury understands what is being presented and getting them focused on the objective of that particular exhibit.

Legal Video Services

A large percentage of today’s cases involve some form of video media. Whether your case involves a day-in-the-life of a severely injured plaintiff or a video inspection of a contaminated site, inFocus has a team of experienced legal video specialists to edit and format your video, producing effective results.

We specialize in video digitization, video synchronization, audio and video enhancements, video duplication and video editing. Working with all formats, our specialists have over 20 years of experience in the industry and are CLVS certified.

Multimedia Presentation (Visual Display of Evidence)

inFocus understands that visual presentation is essential to effectively communicating your case.

It has become ever more apparent that utilizing visual presentation, not only in trials, but mediation and settlement conferences, has proven key in keeping the jury, judge and mediator engaged, helping them to understand, follow and digest complex evidence.

Our experienced trial consultants will work with your trial team and expert witnesses to develop a visual presentation and tell the story of your case in a precise and compelling manner. We work to develop a theme that will be carried out throughout the entire case.

No case is too big or too small and our consultants know how to control the attention of your audience. Through the use of text, images, PowerPoint, animation, graphics, sound and video; your presentation comes alive and your audience becomes a part of your case.

Our technology trial consultants support a variety of trial presentation programs and spend over 60% of their time working in a courtroom or war room setting to support trials across the country.

iPad Technology for Trial, Arbitration, and Mediation

As the legal field becomes increasingly mobile, so are the devices we are using. Mobile applications for trial presentation can take what was once a paper presentation and modernize it to a powerful visual presentation.

Applications such as Trialpad can transform the most novice of presenters into a compelling visual presenter. When your trial, mediation or arbitration needs that extra punch, utilizing a mobile application such as Trialpad can make the world of difference in your presentation. inFocus can help organize your case by utilizing a variety of mobile applications. We provide support and training in utilizing your iPad for trial. And if your presentation needs that extra flair and a presenter is not in your budget, we can train you and provide the proper applications to facilitate your presentation.

Surveillance Video Experts

inFocus houses the most technologically advanced tools to support your litigation. As experts in video and audio, our consultants utilize specific techniques to update and enhance surveillance videos to be displayed in courtroom presentations.

Surveillance videos have been increasingly the focus of many cases and are important to the case’s presentation. In order to successfully display key areas of your surveillance videos, inFocus will provide expertise in choosing the right software, speed, format and visual appearance of your surveillance video to make the most powerful impact.

When your case requires audio and video specialists, inFocus is your only source.

Graphic Demonstrative Design

Along with our premiere trial support and consulting, inFocus provides graphic design and consulting. Our design team works with you to put your case together visually.

Working with all forms of visuals: demonstrative boards, animations, PowerPoint slides, charts, timelines and graphs, we take the most complicated evidence and simplify it so that the jury understands it.

Whether you need to display the evidence on the static trial board or spoon-feed the jury with some segments of information through an interactive digital timeline, our experienced graphic team will provide you with the best options to enforce the theme of your case and the objective you are presenting.

Static boards include transparencies and overlays, photo enlargements, x-ray duplications, medical illustrations, and color and black & white enlargements.

Trial Logistics

One of the key components to your case is the setup of the courtroom. Our trial consultants coordinate with the court for the best possible setup of the trial equipment.

inFocus works closely with the courtroom staff to test sound, acoustics, lighting and visibility of the presentation. We have prepared courtrooms in all corners of the globe and understand what works as well as what equipment is actually needed.

War Room Support

Your trial doesn’t end after the jury is dismissed for the day, nor does the expertise and support that inFocus delivers. Our trial team anticipates changes and the unexpected and is prepared to re-work the next day’s presentation.

We equip your war room in a manner identical to the courtroom. With additional computers, copier/scanners, and printers, we have the ability to transition your case from the courtroom to the war room and back to the courtroom the very next day. We have a qualified team of trial experts whose focus is to get the job done and the presentation polished no matter what time it is. When it comes to last minute changes and presentation adjustments, you can always count on inFocus to provide you with support.

Post-Trial Interviews

Once your trial has ended, it is always good to know what worked and what didn’t. Whether you win or lose, it is important to understand why the jury delivered the verdict they did. inFocus provides post-trial interviews to reveal the reasoning behind the jury’s decision, what may have influenced them to make that decision and what role the experts and witnesses played in the outcome of that decision.

Questions are asked to the jury either by telephone interviews or questionnaires to evaluate key pieces of visual evidence, the case theme and the experts’ testimony. Capturing this feedback from the jury provides our clients with strategic hindsight for future trials, helping them to revise and reshape the direction of evidence and the outline and theme of future cases.

Software Training and Equipment Rental

We know that it is not always necessary to have a trial consultant in trial or at mediation. As such, we provide trial software training on the latest presentation software. Our trainers are certified and experienced in the courtroom. Combining both the mechanics of the software and the real-life experiences in various courtroom scenarios, we provide our clients with a complete overview of not only how the software works but when to utilize it and why.

inFocus owns its trial equipment and provides rental and training. All equipment is tested and prepped for immediate use in court. We will train and even help set up the courtroom should you decide to utilize your own team to present. In addition, we provide further assistance 24/7 for troubleshooting issues should they arise when presenting your case.
